Right so i haven’t posted for a while now, sorry. So the general election has happened and we have a result, well sort of.

As im sure you are all aware the Conservatives (David Cameron and his buddies) have got 306 seats, Labour (Brown and his chums) 258, and the Lib Dems, the underdog and my personal favorite run by Nick Clegg got an abysmal 56.

I’m not going to go into great detail about facts and figures we all know you can get those, better written and in more detail on ‘news’ sites. But i will give my opinion, unlike the bbc.

I personally think that the Lib Dems became very unlucky, with the election being held so soon after the 3rd debate the ‘cleggmania’ , as it is being dubbed by news people, had worn off. I think this is partly due to the fact that the other two parties have other high profile people in their parties rather than just the main two in the Lib Dems. What i mean by this is in the Tories people know David Cameron,  and George Osbourne, the main two, but they also know William Hauge, Kenneth Clarke and Andrew Lansley. And of course with Labour they know Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, as well as, Ed Balls (Brilliant name by the way) Jackie Smith, Harriet Harman, Jack Straw, David Milliband Alan Johnston,… etc etc etc, the list goes on. Where as with the Lib Dems most people can only name Nick Clegg and Vince Cable, that is excluding Lembit Opik who is really only known for dating a Cheeky Girl and being on big brother. But basically this i feel watered down the Clegg effect where the other parties had people whom people know to campaign the Lib Dems didn’t.

So, on a final note i am terrified of a Tory government. This country doesn’t need a Tory government it would be chaos, rich people getting richer whilst everyone else getting poorer so i plead to you Mr Clegg, do not side with Cameron. I voted for the Lib Dems because i wanted Lib Dems not the Tories!.

So thats me, over and out.
